Building Matters: Midcentury Modern in Ann Arbor

  • Wednesday, September 07, 2016
  • 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
  • Downtown Library: Secret Lab (basement)

{The following is not an AIAHV-organized event, but we are passing along the announcement which may be of interest.  We plan to submit information for this to qualify as a continuing education presentation (non-HSW).}

Jessica Letaw, in conjunction with the Ann Arbor District Library, is continuing the series of lectures and conversations about the built environment called "Building Matters."

From Eames chairs to Mad Men, designs from the middle of the 20th century have captured our imaginations. Ann Arbor's collection of midcentury modern architecture is a reflection of its proximity to some of the greatest designers from that age, including Eliel Saarinen and Charles and Ray Eames.

Join us for a conversation about midcentury modern design, from architecture to furniture, including a peek inside some of Ann Arbor's most iconic homes.

Location: Downtown Library: Secret Lab
