Building Matters at the movies: Citizen Kane

This is the first Building Matters At The Movies conversation.

Join Building Matters organizer Jessica Letaw and Phil Hallman, University of Michigan film librarian and curator of the Screen Arts Mavericks & Makers collection, for a program about Orson Welles' Citizen Kane! We'll watch some clips from the movie, explore how Xanadu evolved out of the 1893 Chicago World's Fair, and discover the woman architect who unknowingly laid the foundation for Charles Foster Kane's colossal mansion.

Our host is providing some special extras to round out this special conversation:
** Drinks and light refreshments (from the Produce Station, yum);
** Exclusive access to some of Welles' working documents from the making of Citizen Kane and other artifacts from the Special Collections Library; and
** A beautiful, innovative collaboration space in which to hold our conversation.
