Detroit:  A City in Transformation     Day  2

June 15th    8:30 am-7pm

$42 includes transportation, bike rental, lunch and DIA admission.

 2 HSW  + 2 AIA Continuing Education Credits

Morning

Leave at 8:30am State St. Park & Ride (bus transportation)

 2 hr bike tour of waterfront  visiting  the Detroit  Riverfront Park, a Mies townhome, The deQuindre Cut, Heidelberg Art Project, Gleaners, and “maybe” Belle Isle (non-bikers will be driven to the sites ). Lunch is included.

Afternoon
71 Garfield tour and discussion of Community  and City planning for reimagining Detroit,                                                           Kathryn Underwood –City of Detroit Planning staff member

Tour of the DIA (Optional walk to Yamasaki buildings on Wayne State Campus)                              

University of Michigan Detroit Center presentations Presentation with UM Faculty Eric Dueweke on city issues.

Continuing Downtown tour

Return about 7pm to State St. Park & Ride (bus transportation)
