Provide professional development opportunities to our members and architects in the local community, with a focus on relevant topics for practicing in todayâs world.
Provide continuing education credits for members to meet their annual AIA and State of Michigan licensing requirements. (12 HSW | 18 total LU)
Provide building tours of local projects under construction or completed. (3 HSW/LU)
Events Committee

Build community within our chapter in order to foster social connections, invite collaboration, and enhance the overall well-being of our association.
Provide social events (approximately every other month) for members to build social connections with their peers
Provide Annual events for members to celebrate their professional achievements and build social connections with their peers (Awards, Presidentâs Picnic, Annual Chapter Meeting)
Design and distribute a monthly newsletter to our members to keep members knowledgeable around what is happening with our chapter

Provide opportunities for architects to share their expertise in order to educate and engage the general public on the value of the profession.
Provide Opportunities for Architects to collaborate with other like-minded organizations in the community in order to foster collaboration and represent the profession to the HV area.

Engage our membership to actively participate in events fostering a vibrant community of practitioners dedicated to advancing the profession through collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and collective action.
Increase chapter membership among professionals within the Huron Valley Area (Engage licensed professionals, Engage emerging professionals, Increase participation among chapter members at all events, Market and advocate for our events to the community at large)
Elevate the voice of architects in our membership; Increase Advocacy, Increase participation among Legislative Day and AIA Leadership Summit, Represent the profession locally, at the state level, and at a national level
